Our principal business address is at our “Performance Enhancement Center” or “PEC” located at 900 Main Street South, Suite 200, Building 2, Southbury, Connecticut 06488. We do business under the name AdviCoach® (“AdviCoach”). We do not do business under any other names. On August 9, 2009, Franchise Advantage, LLC changed its name to AdviCoach Franchising, LLC. No ownership changes occurred with this name change. We began offering and selling franchises during the fourth quarter of 2005. We offered AdviCoach regional developer franchises from 2005 to 2014, and as of the Issuance Date of this Disclosure Document, we still have a total of four regional developers in the system. AdviCoach regional developers help us grow our franchise system by soliciting, screening, recruiting, developing, servicing and supporting third party franchisees in their development territory. Regional Developers do not have management responsibility relating to the offer and sale of franchises. If you purchase a franchise within the territory of a Regional Developer, the Regional Developer may provide you with certain initial and ongoing support. We do not have any parent companies. We do not have any predecessors that are required to be disclosed in this Item. Our affiliates do not provide products or services to our franchisees.
Our affiliate, TES Franchising, LLC (“TES”) offers The Entrepreneur's Source franchises that provide advice and coaching to persons desiring to own their own business. TES shares our principal business address of 900 Main Street South, Suite 200, Building 2, Southbury, Connecticut 06488. TES was formed on October 8, 1997. As of December 31, 2018, TES has 115 single unit franchises. TES has never engaged in or offered franchises in any other line of business. Except for TES, none of our affiliates currently offer franchises in any other line of business. TES does not do business under any other name other than their corporate name.
We offer Franchises for the use of our “AdviCoach®” trademarks, trade names, service marks and logos (“Marks'”) for the operation of AdviCoach Businesses. AdviCoach Businesses are operated under our proprietary AdviCoach system (“System”). The System may be changed or modified by us throughout your ownership of the Franchise. AdviCoach Businesses provide business facilitation and support services to businesses in all stages, from inception to full implementation, in advertising, sales. AdviCoach. marketing, customer service, leadership, team building, business planning, management, and organizational development. You must sign our standard franchise agreement attached to this Franchise Disclosure Document as Exhibit A (“Franchise Agreement”'). You may operate one AdviCoach Business for each Franchise Agreement you sign. You may operate your AdviCoach Business as an owner/operator or you may contract an individual to manage the direct day-to-day operations of the AdviCoach Business on a full-time basis
You must pay us an initial franchise fee (“Initial Franchise Fee”) of $55,000 when you sign the Franchise Agreement. Each Franchise Agreement will grant you the right to operate one AdviCoach Business. The Initial Franchise Fee is payment for all of the pre-opening assistance that we provide to allow you to open your AdviCoach Business and also offsets some of our franchisee recruitment expenses. The Initial Franchise Fee is fully earned by us when paid and is non-refundable. All Initial Franchise Fees are uniform
We do not offer direct or indirect financing. We do not guarantee your note, lease or other obligation.
The FTC's Franchise Rule permits a franchisor to disclose information about the actual or potential financial performance of its franchised and/or franchisor-owned outlets, if there is a reasonable basis for the information, and if the information is included in the disclosure document.
