The Chronic Tacos story began in 1983 when founder, Rick Bayless, opened his first restaurant on the campus of University of Chicago. After a decade of success at college campuses across the country, Rick decided to bring authentic Mexican food to America's heartland. In 1993 he founded "Chronic Taco" which was later renamed "Chronic Tacos". The company has been growing ever since with over 100 restaurants nationwide and is still expanding rapidly.
Franchise Opportunity
Mexican food is one of the most popular cuisines in the United States, but it can be hard to find a great place to eat it. Not all Mexican food is created equal. You know this because you've probably had a bad experience or two with Mexican food. Chronic Tacos is different. We serve up authentic Mexican cuisine that's made fresh daily and tastes amazing. Plus, we have a variety of menu items so there's something for everyone.
