As a franchisee, you would be in the business of operating a temporary staffing office (an “Office”), from which you will provide clients with temporary clerical, administrative, management, and light industrial personnel (a “Personnel Services Business”) to clients located within a specific territory (a “Protected Territory”). The franchise will operate under the name “AtWork” and other trademarks, service marks, logos, and commercial symbols we periodically authorize (the “Marks”). Personnel Services Businesses will offer the services and goods we authorize, and use our distinctive business formats, business system, methods, procedures, signs, designs, layouts, standards, specifications, and the Marks, all of which we may improve, further develop, or otherwise modify from time to time (collectively, the “Franchise System”). To acquire a franchise, you must enter into a Franchise Agreement (the “Franchise Agreement”), which is attached as 2 AtWork Franchise, Inc. 2019 Franchise Disclosure Document 1304.001.003/262737.3 Exhibit B to this disclosure document. The Franchise Agreement, along with our franchisee policy manuals (the “Operations Manual”), which we may modify as we see fit, govern the development and operation of your Personnel Services Business. The AtWork franchise model contemplates that staffing personnel that you place with clients (which we sometimes refer to in this disclosure document as “Assigned Temporary Workers”) are employed by you, but we bill and collect staffing fees from clients and remit your share of those fees monthly, after deducting certain charges and offsets, including royalties and an administrative service fee, advertising fund contributions owed to us
